Kenya national side, Harambee Stars remain at position 87 as football governing body, FIFA release latest rankings.

The latest rankings saw Kenya make steady steps in the continent, settling at position 20 despite not taking part in the just concluded Africa cup of nations at Gabon.

Despite their AFCON 2-1 finals loss to Cameroon, North Africa giants Egypt are the continents top team squeezing in at position 23 with Senegal who were knocked out by eventual winners Cameroon at the quarter final stage coming in second (31st worldwide) with the champions having to settle third in Africa and 33rd worldwide.

However the top 10 countries saw Argentina remain the No.1 ranked team ahead of Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium. France, Columbia Euros 2016 champions, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain completing the list.

Uganda who were East Africa's only representatives at the AFCON dropped two positions to 75 while neighbours Tanzania are ranked at position 158 in the world.
