This is after Injera became the leading try scorer in the IRB series when he scored his 231st try, during Kenya’s 29-12 defeat against France back in May 2016, at the London 7s series, breaking Gomez Cora’s record of 230 tries.

29-year-old Injera is up against the likes of the late Jonah Lomu for his display in the 1995 Rugby world cup, Japan’s win over South Africa in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Jonny Wilkins drop kick that won England 2003 World cup, Joel Stranksy drop goal that won South Africa 1995 world cup, The All Blacks triumph in the 2015 world cup final.

Tony Stanger’s winning try for Scotland against England in the six Nations back in 1990, Philipe Saints Andres counter attack that led to France two nil series win over the All Blacks and New Zealand rugby ladies for winning their fourth IRB sevens title in 2010.

He was named 2016 Singapore sevens player of the final, after guiding Kenya to their maiden Sevens World Series title, following a 30-7 win over Fiji.

The winger has been in sensational form since making his debut back in 2006 and he is expected to be among the team that will represent Kenya in the Olympics games.
