Kenya and India to work to lower healthcare costs

President Uhuru Kenyatta and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi have kicked off discussions to lower the cost of medical services for Kenyans.

The two say they're ready to work together in the transfer of skills to strengthen our capacity in the provision of specialized health services.

Meanwhile, medics are being encouraged to always test for cancer in children if they have a recurrent symptom. Jessie Githanga from Kenyatta Hospital says many cancers in children are missed due to a misconception that the disease doesn't affect them.
