The Kenya Boxing Federation will for the first time reward boxers with cash during this year’s local league.

The league kicks off in April and will comprise four legs. Last week the federation unveiled a twenty million shilling sponsorship deal for the league and chairman John Kameta says they will be rewarding overall team winners as well as individuals.

Kimeta however couldn’t reveal how much each team will receive at the end of the league.

Meanwhile Boxers who will represent Kenya in the Africa Olympics Qualifiers in Cameroon will start training next week.
