The AFC Leopards hierarchy has summoned all members selling the club's merchandise in a bid to stem loss of revenue.

According to a statement from the club, the persons summoned will be required to get a licence to operate their business. Over the years, many people have reaped millions from the club by selling stuff using the club's logo without benefiting the club.

Club deputy secretary general Stazo Elijah says they want to put an end to this and ensure that all those involved in this business are cleared by the club.

"We have summoned all the persons doing business using our club's logo," Stazo said.

'"We want to ensure that all those using our logo do their business legally and also the club gets some income from that. Over the years we have had many people benefiting from the club without giving back. It's unfair as this denies us a lot of revenue.

"We are not denying anyone a chance to sell anything. What we want is to have all those involved follow the right channel," he added.

This comes days after the club sacked coach Ivan Minnaert following a string of poor results.

The Belgian tactician joined the Big Cats early this year, taking Ingwe to a joint top position for a few weeks in March before deteriorating to an unfamiliar position 10 after 23 matches of the league.

The decision to relieve the former Rayon Sport head coach of his duties at the Den was arrived at by the club’s National Executive Committee sitting, which, on a letter dated August 31, asked the coach to hand over all the club’s property with immediate effect.
