Gor Mahia head to Madagascar to face off with CNaPS in their Africa Champions League return leg with a slim 1-0 lead, but coach Frank Nuttall says his team is not under any pressure. a

While he admits his team did not play to the optimum best in the first leg in Nairobi in which Victor Ali Abondo’s first minute goal from the spot made the difference, they have worked on the few mistakes and are heading for the return leg confident.

“We carry a lead and that is the most important fact,” he said.

“And we did not concede at home which would have been a disaster,” he added.

Nuttall says the frailties in defense and a few weaknesses in the midfield have been rectified and the team is in perfect shape to take on their opponents.

CNaPS is a very good side. They run a lot as was evident in the first leg match. We cannot under rate them especially now that they will be playing at home. But we know we have a strong team. We are not only going to defend our lead but also look for more goals.”

Nuttall has a squad of 20 players to pick from. However most of his new signings are not registered for the tournament.
