Tusker midfielder Brian Osumba will be out of action for an unknown period after he broke his right leg in a bodaboda accident.

According to information shared by his club on their official Facebook feed, Osumba was in the accident on Saturday while on his way to school.

In an article published by kpl.co.ke, Osumba said that he will be in hospital for four more days before starting his rehabilitation programme.

The article also revealed that Osumba, 26, is a CPA student at the Strathmore Business School where he has evening classes. He is currently studying for his CPA Level 5 certificate.

Osumba's seriousness with his studies has made him stand out among his football peers as he also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi.

Osumba had just completed a gym session at the club's training grounds in Ruaraka earlier that day.

The club further added that the 2014 midfielder of the year was successfully operated on and is currently being monitored by doctors at the Nairobi Hospital.

Osumba, who has been a key player for Tusker since joining the club from KCB in 2014, is certain to miss the Brewers' opening match of the 2016 Kenyan Premier League season against Thika United on February 13 at the Thika Municipal Stadium.

Tusker also announced that they will shift base for their home matches from Ruaraka to the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos after a relocation to Meru was delayed by ongoing construction of the Kinoru Stadium.
