VIDEO: Ghost Analyses Mauritius vs. Kenya 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Match

Harambee Stars will be taking on Mauritius on Wednesday in the first leg of their first round 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers encounter.

The match will be the sixth meeting between the two teams with Kenya boasting a better head-to-head record of 3 wins and 2 draws.

Kenya go into the match with a lot of pressure on their backs following last month's disastrous performance where we lost 2-1 to Zambia in an AFCON 2017 qualifier. The result saw Kenya drop 15 places to 131 in the October FIFA rankings and having in mind that Kenya has never won away to Mauritius in a competitive match (drew 0-0 in 1971 during AFCON 1972 qualifiers and 2-2 during 1974 FIFA World Cup qualifiers), Harambee Stars cannot afford to take things for granted.

Having defeated Mozambique 1-0 in their AFCON 2017 qualifier home match last month, Mauritius are high on confidence and would definitely fancy replicating a similar result tomorrow.

Radio Jambo presenter and former Harambee Stars coach Jacob Ghost Mulee believes that Kenya can get a result away to Mauritius despite their inconsistent form.

Ghost also lamented Kenya's recent drop in the FIFA rankings and said that Kenya has to work hard to register some upward movement.
