World Cup Qualifiers: Congo And Nigeria Among African Countries Punished By FIFA

FIFA has handed out punishments to eight African nations for various offences committed during September's 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The Nigeria Football Federation has been fined just over $30,000 and issued with a warning after fans invaded the pitch when they beat Cameroon four nil on the 1st of September while DR Congo were also given a warning and also handed a major fine of $20,000, for incidents during their match against Tunisia on the 5th of last month September.

Both Burkina Faso and Senegal were issued warnings for delayed kick-offs in their matches against each other on 2nd and 5th of last month.
