Devolution cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru has come under immense pressure from politicians, as well as members of the public, to step down following massive revelations of corruption within departments under her ministry over the past few months.

First came the major multi million scandal surrounding the National Youth Service, then the IFMIS procurement scandal before The Star on Tuesday reported another fresh financial scandal surrounding the embattled ministry.

The paper further reported that the ministry's asset register revealed Sh1.7 million was spent for a TV screen for Waiguru's office and Sh12 million for office partition, in the 2013/2014 financial year.

The register, presented by PS Peter Mangiti, listed purchase of a copier at Sh1.5 million, while Sh1.9million was spent for free downloadable Adobe software and Sh250,000 for ten flash disks.

These details infuriated Kenyans, who took to social media to vent their anger.
