The 62-year-old politician is not your ordinary kind of politician. Having been in politics for over two decades, he has mastered the art of relating well with the ordinary mwananchi, probably the reason why he commands a huge following across the country.
Kalonzo, who served as Kenya's 10th Vice President between 2008-2013, graced Radio Jambo studios this morning, hosted by Gidi na Ghost, where he talked of among other things the international accolade he recently won in New York, USA.
Mr. Kalonzo was feted as the African Dignitary Man Of The Year following his efforts to bring peace in South Sudan during his tenure as Foreign minister.
He has played a role in guiding leaders of the world’s newest nation. He has also helped provide education to more than 2,000 needy and vulnerable students through the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation.
The video below shows Kalonzo sharing warm hugs and not the usual handshakes with his hosts before sharing a light joke with them, cementing the fact that indeed he is an easy going leader.
