The body which had a rope around the neck was found a few kilometers from Kikopey town along the old Nakuru road in what is believed to be another case of extra-judicial killing.
As has been the norm, the man did not have any identification documents and had been killed elsewhere before being dumped in the area.
The incident came barely two days after another man was found murdered in a similar fashion and dumped near the Jikaze IDP camp along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.
According to a witness James Mburu, the body in the latest case was found by a group of herders along the abandoned road who in turn informed the police.
“The man had a rope around the neck with all indications that he had been strangled before the body was dumped on the old road,” he said.
Gilgil OCPD Sarah Koki confirmed the incident adding that the body had since been collected and taken to the area mortuary.
Koki said that the deceased did not have any identification documents adding that they would have to collect fingerprints and send them to the registrar of persons for identification.
“The man who is in his late 30s was murdered elsewhere through strangulation before the body was ferried and dumped along the old Nakuru road,” she said.
