On Wednesday, Grandpa records were left counting huge losses after their office was broken into and production equipment worth hundreds of thousands stolen.

In a statement, the Refigah owned company, stated that they already had a suspect and that they were closely working with the police who were carrying out the investigations.

Refigah urged members of the public to exercise patience and assured them that ''We will be able to put everything in place and work will commence as per usual. ''

To all our esteemed clients and partners, we are very sorry to announce that we woke up today to a great shock, our office at olympic estate

has been broken into and we have lost all the production equipments.

Since morning, we have been cooperating with the police carrying out the investigations and so far we have a suspect, for now, we are letting the police do their work and for the law to take its course. Meanwhile i would like to ask you to be patient, bare with us for a few days, we will be able to put everything in place and work will commence as per usual.

No one will kill our spirit.

Following the raid at Grandpa records, below are other studios which have been broken into over the years.

Pacho entertainment.

In August, Pacho Entertainment studio was as well vandalized and equipment stolen.
Pacho is owned by producer and artiste Naiboi and Cedo.
Confirming the terrible news, Naiboi said that they were away at church praising and worshiping when they were vandalized.
“We were in church and on coming back, we found the locks were broken and things of approximately eight hundred thousand stolen. Since we do not have our CID’s we have reported to the police and investigations are underway adding that we are not suspecting any person.”
DJ Kalonje 
Kenya's top DJ, Kalonje's studio was vandalized back in December 2017.
Breaking the news on social media, Kalonje revealed his studio was demolished and that they were not given a notice to vacate their premises and were shocked when goons, armed with pangas and heavy wrenches, shoved his dad severally and went ahead to steal his machines, DJ decks, Play Stations and studio equipment.
