- DPP Haji ordered for the arrest of 40 KPLC employees, including the former CEO Ben CHumo on charges of economic crimes.
- Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma caused a storm after asking why MP's should pay to attend the Russia World Cup games. Over 20 MP's used almost 40 million shillings to attend the games, and defended the move saying they were there to learn more.
- Cases of school arson continued into he weekend with two more institutions burnt down. Makuyu girls secondary school and Nyahurur boys school was gutted down on Sunday morning.
- Education CS Amina Mohamed lost her brother early Sunday morning. Mr. Yusuf Mohamed Jibril died after a short illness.
- The body of a woman was discovered buried in a grave in her home on Saturday. The woman is believed to have been killed by her husband after a domestic quarrel.
