Aki Wakenya! Someone Posted a Picture Of A Cracked SGR Pillar, Is It Real?

This is probably coming shortly after the Nairobi bound SGR stalled at Kibwezi, prompting Kenya Railways to apologize to commuters, and explain what happened.

Last week Wednesday, the train stalled for one hour, and commuters took to social media to complain about the delay. It caused an uproar and a statement from Kr said it was due to mechanical problems.

This time round there is a picture doing rounds on social media of a cracked SGR. The picture shows a cracked pillar, and it's not clear if it's the Kenyan one or from a different part of the world.

While some people are saying it resembles the Kenyan SGR, others don't believe the story one bit, and I guess the management of the SGR heard about it, and have responded.

Here is what they have said;

We would like to clarify that the picture of the cracked bridge is not of the SGR from the speculations going round. The Voi bridge is in good condition as you can see from the first picture.

Kenyans have responded with the following comments;

Kelli Blacknificent... What about the engine developing mechanical problems a while ago in Mtito Andei?

Yakub Rubey There was no need to clarify..it looked fake from the word go..and people had even forgotten about it... Now you might be unknowingly helping them achieve their aims..

Jos Irungu... This fake bridge is shared by unpatriotic Kenyans who are full of hatred and show of insensitivity to Kenyans and we believe in you Sgr company wachana na wasiotaka maendeleo. The Pilars of this fake bridge ain't from China company model.Shame on the insensitive Kenyans.

Godfrey Muciarito... You are too fast to respond on such things, which are too easy to believe are just propagandas but you can't even reply or answer to our questions like, when are the inter county trains start the routes or land in Kenya after failing on 1st July !Al-Aaron Rashid Why cant u resolve the major issue of graft in the ticketing rather engaging in this petty war on FB??Give us the liberty book online.

.

Gibson Ruttoh... On a point of concern,can the 1st and 2nd photo be taken on precisely the same spot and angle?.Thanks.

Kinjoo Nelson.. I was sent the photo on WhatsApp n i instantly saw it was fake so ikiwa kuna walioamini then i wonder
