A few weeks ago, a picture of University of Nairobi student leader Ann Mvurya excited Kenyans, especially as many said she resembled Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.
Ann Mvurya was sworn in as the new chairperson of the University of Nairobi Students Association becoming the first female student leader.
Ann Mvurya truly resembles Ann Waiguru: from the hairstyle, to the skin tone, and style of dressing.
Well, the Governor on Thursday met the student leader and lavished praise on her.
Waiguru revealed details of their meeting saying
It is said that everybody has at least one person whom they strongly resemble: Had an intriguing meeting with newly elected UNSA chair, . We share quite a bit in common including a shared passion for more women in political leadership.Also congratulated the newly elected UNSA officials who had accompanied their chair. They presented me with a portrait done by Mr. Karinge Mbugua.
I affirmed my support for youth leadership and challenged them to be the Leaders of today.
The student leader also responded saying
We shall do everything countrywide for betterness of our youths
