The body of the slain Kenyan has finally arrived home amid tears and calls of justice after the brutal murder in Germany.

The body of Mary Waithera Kamathi that arrived in JKIA ahead of the burial on Friday was met with tears of bitterness by relatives and friends who were still trying to come to term with the incident.

The lifeless body of the 27-yer-old medic was found lying in her shop in Essen town three weeks ago and was confirmed dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.

Police have since released the photo of the suspect said to be a Tanzanian whom they had termed as the main suspect in the murder that left many in shock.

According to the deceased younger brother Samuel Njuguna, the family through the assistance of friends had managed to raise the amount required in flying back the body.

Njuguna said that all was set to be lay to rest his sister in Kinamba village along the Naivasha-Kinangop road on Friday.

“This has been one of the hardest times for the family and we thank friends who stood by us and we pray that no family will have to undergo through such experience again,” he said.

On the suspect, Njuguna added that they were still waiting for word from police in Germany adding that they were confident justice will be done.
