The body of an IEBC official was on Saturday found dumped in a bush next to her home in Sega.
Caroline Odinga was the deputy presiding officer at Miyare Primary School polling station in Ugenya constituency during the just-concluded General Election.
Witnesses said the body was dumped along a footpath in Sirowa village, North Ugenya.
North Ugenya chief Joseph Ooko said the body was discovered at 11am.
He said Odinga was a teacher at Ugenya High School.
“Her body had deep cut wounds and we suspect she was raped before being killed,” Ooko said
He said Odinga left her home on Friday and told her husband she was going to pick some items in the school, but she did not return.
The body was removed to Sega Mission Hospital mortuary.
Police are investigating.
