KUPPET yesterday issued a 7 day ultimatum to the government to close all schools or else their members will withdraw from work. Chairman Omboko Milemba says the current school unrest has made the learning institutions insecure for teachers.
Meanwhile, Deputy President William Ruto has ruled out closing schools early to stem rising cases of arson in public institutions. Ruto says the arsonists should face stern action, adding that Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i is only implementing set regulations.
