A lion known as 'Lemek' was found dead in Kitengela yesterday. This comes a day after the 13-year old King of the Jungle, Mohawk, was gunned down by Kenya Wildlife Service officials in Isinya. Paul Udoto Communication officer from KWS says the carcass of Lemek was found hours after area residents reported having spotted two lions roaming in the area.

In related news, a week's vigil will be held from Sunday to remember the two lions that were killed this week. Officials from Ulinzi Africa Foundation also want Kenyans to sign a petition dubbed 'Save our Wildlife" online with the aim of holding KWS accountable for Mohawk's Death.

More than 2000 people have already signed the petition.
