The singer who is well known for the song “Sina Raha” succumbed to death after suddenly falling sick.
At the time of his sudden death, the singer was in studio about to release a new single dubbed Walimwengu.
He and his producer Steve were in studio at the time of his sickness but he died on the way to the hospital.
In the song, Sam reveals that he had been bewitched.
"I was very sick, in bed, those who saw me didn't believe. They didn't know what was troubling me. Friends didn't even come to see me. They didn't know there is witchcraft. "
After his death, his producer Steve came out to confirm that Sam believed he had been bewitched.
However the singer died of HIV/AIDS.

Now, Ray C is very angry about how the media only chose to play his songs after his death and yet when he was alive they did nothing about it.
The songbird, who currently relocated to Nairobi said:
“Sometimes I wonder what’s with the bongo media. You have to die for your songs to receive massive airplay including the ones that have not been officially released. What’s the purpose of supporting us when we are dead? When I die they shouldn’t even bother giving me a promo.”
