Rogo widow freed on bond

A Shanzu court has dismissed the Director of Public Prosecution DPP's application and freed the widow of slain Muslim Cleric Aboud Rogo on a Sh 1 million bond.

Mombasa principal magistrate Diana Mochache  says the state had failed to prove their case beyond reasonable doubt that Haniya Said Sagar will jump bail and will not  cooperate if released.

In her ruling, Mochache says the accused is unlikely to abscond court proceeding and interfere with the case.

Sagar is facing three terrorism charges linked to the September 11 attack at Central Police Station in Mombasa.

She is accused of working with one the mastermind of the attack Tasnim Yakub Abdullahi Farah who died in the raid.
