'They knew I was home because my phone was on' Boniface Mwangi on arrest

Activist Boniface Mwangi has spoken out hours after his arrest to calm supporters who took to social media to complain about his arrest.

Boniface after being released wrote an emotional message about his arrest saying

I was arrested by four  @DCI_Kenya officers from my house. They knew l was home because my phone was on and they could track my movements. Upon arrival at Central Police Station l was told "some people" are planning a revolution and l might have some information. l know nothing.

Mr Mwangi was arrested Monday morning over an alleged 'revolution organization'.

Officers said they arrested him over' revolution plans'. Chief Inspector of Police attached to the DCI Gorge Muchiri, said they are investigating an alleged organisation of a revolution involving the activist that is likely to cause civil unrest and a breach of peace.
