A University of Nairobi student died after falling from the second floor of his hostel in an incident at the Kabete Campus.
The third year student is said to have slid and fell on his head dying on the spot. Police were called and informed of the incident involving one Kevin Chirchir.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kenyatta National Hospital. Police say they are investigating to know if the deceased was pushed or fell by accident.
Meanwhile, a suspected thug was this morning shot dead in an incident in Kanyama area, Kariobangi South, Nairobi.
The suspect is said to have first battered his girlfriend in their house before he tried to escape on foot. Police say they recovered a homemade gun from the deceased.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
