President Kenyatta has asked NASA leader Raila Odinga to stop intimidating the IEBC and allow it to prepare for the October 17 election.

Uhuru said the repeat polls will go on as planned, adding he is ready to face off again with his opponents.

"We will show Raila that we won on August 8 and we will not accept his efforts to have a nusu mkate government," Uhuru said on Thursday.

He was speaking during campaigns in Eldoret.

Uhuru said he agreed to take part in the repeat polls after "four people" at the Supreme Court decided against the will of voters who queued patiently on August 8

The President also claimed the ruling only identified problems with transmission of votes but did not fault his victory.

DP William Ruto who was present said IEBC should prepare for the polls and avoid playing political games.

"We want to tell [IEBC chair Wafula] Chebukati that we do not want stupidity. What we want are elections on October 17th," said Ruto.

He also said the national examinations would go on as planned and accused opposition NASA leader Raila Odinga of not caring about the lives of Kenyan children.

"Let him take far away those jokes. Exams will go on as planned and the elections will take place on October 17th as planned," said Ruto.

He said elections will not be determined by courts or noise but Kenyans who voted for President Kenyatta in August 8th.

"We are gentle people and that is why we agreed to repeat elections despite winning on August 8th. By agreeing to repeat elections does not mean we are cowards," the DP said.

He said he and Uhuru are in power and exams will not be postponed because of elections.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen accused Chebukati of writting illegal letters instead of preparing for polls.

"If he continues with those jokes then we will take 1 million people people to his office to protest," said Murkomen.

There seems to be an impending fall-out within the electoral agency after Chebukati issued a damning memo to CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Four commissioners have come to Chiloba's defence after he was sidelined from the repeat election.
