'Jacque Maribe you got my hand of friendship,' - Dennis Itumbi

It has been a tough couple of weeks for TV journalist Jacque Maribe who was on Tuesday morning remanded until October 15 when she will take plea.

This is after the TV siren was implicated in the gory murder of Monicah Kimani by her conduct and association with prime suspect, Joseph Irungu alias 'Jowie'.

Making the ruling on Tuesday, Justice Jessie Lessit ordered Maribe to be detained at Lang’ata Women’s Prison. She will also undergo a mental assessment at Mathari Mental Hospital. Jowie will be detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison.

In her hour of need, State House Digital Director and Maribe's long term friend, Dennis Itumbi has stepped up in her support.

In a post on his Twitter feed, Itumbi calls for justice not just for Monica Kimani and her family but also for Maribe whom he has always had in his prayers.

He went on to assure her that she got his hand of friendship.

His post read,

Jacqueline Maribe, you remain in my prayers. May Justice, like many waters be done. May Monica & her family find the answers they deserve & those responsible be punished as per by law established. But may you find Justice, that you equally deserve. You got my hand of friendship

Itumbi has always had Maribe's back and he was also among many other high profile Kenyans who congratulated her when she announced her engagement to Jowie.

He wrote, “May Laughter fill your path. May you Live to enjoy life and share the beauty of your love with Jowi. Congratulations buddy!” Wrote Dennis Itumbi.
