Police Arrest Suspected Killer In Samburu County

Police officers in Wamba Location of Samburu East Sub County have arrested a man suspected to have killed his aunt two days ago by slitting her throat open with a sword almost severing the head from her body.

The suspect, 35 year old Christopher Lolmingani who is said to be the deceased's  nephew is said to have committed the crime over the weekend at the house they we putting up in within Sordo village and immediately disappeared to the nearby bushes.

Confirming the incident, Samburu police County Commander Francis Kumut said they have launched investigations into the case as the motive behind the killing of the 59 year old Susan Lolmingani is not yet established.

The officer further warned locals especially the youth not to take the law into their hands over domestic issues, urging them to seek amicable solutions in case of any incidence.

"I want to tell our youth that the law is very clear and we shall not entertain anyone found committing a crime, we shall prosecute you and send you to jail," he noted.

Kumut also urged the Samburu elders to offer advice to the youth who are engaged in weird behaviours, calling upon every local to be wary of strange characteristics from people living amongst them and seek immediate help in case someone behaves in a way that they may cause harm to innocent people.

The body of the late was transferred to Wamba Mission Hospital awaiting postmortem as the suspect is expected to be taken to court once investigations are complete.
